Easter Bunnies

  Now that another batch of teeny plates have been delivered to Jonathon's Gallery I can show photos of them here. The theme for a dozen of them was Easter. Where did the week go? Since opening the kiln on Monday I haven't worked on pots at all. Paper Resist

I have been using wetted paper as a stencil between layers of coloured slips. The design can be an intricate image, or merely torn strips as Raider Pierre Coupey has done. I decided to cut random angles in the sides of my strips of newsprint and then experiment with two or three possibilities for the overlaid slip. Porcelain slip on an earlier plate was pleasing.…

Seagulls, a Robin and some bowls

There was just enough room in my latest glaze firing for all the plates, my latest jugbirds, some grandson artwork, bowls to be donated and TriCity Potters' collaborations. Phew!
