New batch of earthenware jugbirds

I haven’t had any luck locating a salt kiln nearby just yet but over the next months I’m sure I’ll connect with someone who needs to get salting done!

Meanwhile the Granville Island galleries say all the old colourful slip-painted earthenware jugbirds are gone so I made 12 more over the last few weeks. They DO take far too long to make – but they still give me pleasure. The first photo shows the ones going to Gallery of BC Ceramics. The second shows those for Circle Craft.

The solo one is my current favourite, a Pileated Woodpecker!

I will have lots to write in my blog a month from now. Watch this space then!
