Western Front 40th Anniversary Auction preview

All of a sudden there have been at least four events that I’d like to mention on my blog. I’ve been to an auction preview, a gallery opening, two other ceramic galleries, a 70th birthday party and yesterday an Artist Salon! And it’s only going to get busier with our TriCity potters’ show being juried and opening soon, followed by the Ceramic Symposium in less than two weeks and a multitude of other ceramic shows around the Lower Mainland.

On Wednesday Alan decided to accompany me to the Western Front Gala Auction preview (well, actually he was the driver so that I could have an ‘Old-Fashioned’ made with home-made whisky!). The actual auction will have happened last night so I’ll be interested to see what became of our ‘Raiders’ Plates’.

I took a few photos of our plates as they were displayed at the preview party, and some general shots of other work displayed around the Luxe Hall in the Western Front. Our son Mike joined us for elegant snacks and drinks. More information on the auction works can be seen via a link in my previous blog on the auction.
