There were tiles left over from the recent tile-painting workshop for TriCity Potters so I suggested some of them might like to drop by and paint some more. I told them that I would be busy getting my recently completed jugbirds painted while they worked. So six capable potter friends arrived at 11am, with casual lunch offerings too! and we had a delightful time of quiet productivity and conversation. They can come again!
Kay, Eliza, Grace, June, Linda and Carlene each painted a couple of tiles. Here is a photo of the ones left here, Linda and Eliza intend to finish details on theirs and get them back to me before the bisque early next week. I’m really impressed with the bold and varied designs each person created, and will of course post photos of them when they’re all finished.
Me, I painted three jugbirds – a Cardinal, a large new Eagle design and a Great Tit. In this photo they’re perched beside the big Puffin and Jay from yesterday. Three more to paint tomorrow – all exotic birds, and then I can take an expected fine day to do some work in my garden. Jeremy, in Cambridge, these new jugbirds are intended for you!
