Workshop in Williams Lake

Joan Beck, of the Cariboo Potters Guild, has invited me to give a workshop. It’ll be fun to travel up the Cariboo Highway for the weekend. My previous workshop with this group was in 2000! I’ve chosen to take the Greyhound bus so that I can take a box of supplies with me but also to see the beautiful and so varied BC landscape. I’m rather tired of air travel for the moment.

As this blurb suggests, I will be throwing and assembling a jugbird or two, as well as demonstrating how I use slips. We’ll make tiles and slab plates to experiment with slip application, so this weekend will be useful for beginners as well as experienced wheel-throwers. I gather the guild need a few more registrants so if you’d like to spend a weekend in Williams Lake do join us. I’m sure billets can be arranged. Anyone want to go up with me? I plan to go on Friday morning early and return on Monday.
